However much time you have
Some families are here every week. Some manage one working bee a year. Both are genuinely useful, and nobody is counting.
Classroom help
Reading with small groups, running an activity, or being an extra pair of hands on a busy morning.
Excursions and camps
Parent helpers make the trips that need a higher ratio possible at all.
Canteen
A shift now and then keeps the menu wide and the prices sensible.
Working bees and events
Grounds days, the fete, discos, sports days — the ones the kids remember.

The PCA
The PCA runs the events, the fundraising and the social spine of the school — the fete, the discos, the mothers’ and fathers’ day stalls, and the quiet work that pays for the things the budget does not stretch to.
New families are always welcome, and you do not need to commit to a position to come to a meeting and see what it is like.
Governance
School Council
School Council is the governing body of a Victorian government school. It brings together parent representatives, staff and community members to set the school’s direction, oversee policy, and approve the budget.
Elections are held annually. If you want a genuine hand in how the school is run rather than only how its events go, this is the door.
Uniform
Navy and teal, and a hat two terms of the year
Kismet Park has a compulsory school uniform in the school colours. Sun-smart hats are required in Terms 1 and 4. The current price list and supplier details are available from the office, and second-hand uniform is often available through the PCA.
Canteen
Healthy-eating compliant, and open for orders
Our canteen operates within the Victorian healthy-eating guidelines and runs with the help of parent volunteers. Lunch orders are placed online. Menu and ordering details come home each term and are available from the office.
Out of School Hours Care
Before school, after school, and holidays
OSHC runs on site in partnership with TheirCare, so the school day can fit around a working family’s day. Bookings and fees are managed directly with TheirCare.
