Getting involved
However much time you have
Some families volunteer regularly, while others help out when they can at events and activities throughout the year. Every contribution is valued.
Classroom help
Reading with small groups, running an activity, or being an extra pair of hands on a busy morning.
Excursions
Parent volunteers help us provide the extra support some excursions and activities need, making these experiences possible for more students.
Canteen
Families can volunteer in the canteen from time to time, helping with preparation, service and the smooth running of one of the busiest parts of the school day.
Events and activities
Stalls, ice cream days, excursions, sports days and special events, practical ways families can get involved and help make school life memorable.

The PCA
The PCA brings families together through events, fundraising and activities that add something extra to school life, from stalls and discos to special days and community events.
New families are always welcome. You can come along, meet people and get involved in whatever way works for you.

Governance
School Council
School Council is the governing body of a Victorian government school. It brings together parent representatives, staff and community members to set the school’s direction, oversee policy, and approve the budget.
Elections are held annually. Elections are held each year, giving families the opportunity to take a more formal role in the life and direction of Kismet Park.
Uniform
Uniform and SunSmart.
Kismet Park has a compulsory school uniform in our school colours of navy and teal.
As part of our SunSmart practices, students are expected to wear a school sun hat from mid-August to the end of April, and whenever UV levels reach 3 or above. Students without a hat remain in a designated shaded area during outdoor break times.
Our uniform is supplied by Primary School Wear (PSW) and can be purchased online or from the PSW Sunbury store at 106–126 Gap Road, Sunbury.
Canteen
Healthy-eating compliant, and open for orders
Our canteen operates within the Victorian healthy-eating guidelines and runs with the help of parent volunteers. Lunch orders are placed online. Menu and ordering details come home each term and are available from the office.
Out of School Hours Care
Before school, after school, and holidays
OSHC runs on site in partnership with TheirCare, so the school day can fit around a working family’s day. Bookings and fees are managed directly with TheirCare.
