Foundation 2027
The handbook is live
Our Foundation 2027 handbook covers the school, its programs and the transition to Prep — the whole picture, in one place, before you commit to anything.
Foundation is the Victorian name for Prep — your child’s first year of school. Children generally start Foundation in the year they turn five by 30 April, and enrolment follows a statewide timeline set by the Department of Education so that every family across Victoria applies in the same window.
If you live inside our school zone, your place is guaranteed. Zones are set by permanent residential address and published on the Victorian Government’s Find My School site. Families outside the zone are welcome to apply, and are placed under the Department’s Placement Policy where places are available.

How to apply
Five steps, in order
Nothing here is complicated. If any of it is, call the office and someone will walk you through it.

Come and look
Book a personalised tour with the principal — weekly at 10:00am. Bring your child. This is the step most families say mattered most, and it costs you half an hour.
- 02
Check the timeline
The Department of Education runs a statewide Foundation enrolment timeline that tells you when applications open, when offers go out, and when you need to accept by.
- 03
Submit the application
Complete the enrolment application form and hand it to the school office or email it through, with your child’s birth certificate or passport and immunisation certificate.
- 04
Accept your place
Once your enrolment is accepted we may ask for a few more things — a health management plan, or any reports that help us understand your child before day one rather than after it.
- 05
Transition
Your child comes in for Kinder to Prep transition sessions across Term 4, meets their teacher and their buddy, and walks the yard — so the first day of school is not the first day they have been here.

Two documents are required with every application. The rest only apply to some children — but the earlier we have them, the earlier we can plan around your child rather than react to them.

School zones in Victoria are set by permanent residential address and published by the Department. The map is the source of truth, not us — so we send you straight to it.
Live outside the zone? You are still welcome to apply. Places outside the zone are offered under the Department’s Placement Policy when they are available — call the office and we will tell you honestly where things stand for your year level.

So the first day of school is not the first day here
Transition runs across Term 4. Your child visits, sits in the classroom, meets the teacher who will actually have them, and is introduced to the senior student who becomes their buddy.
Visits, not a tour
Several sessions in the real classroom, doing real classroom things.

A senior student is paired with your child — a familiar older face in a very big yard.
